Overview

The HOPS12T is a 3-way high output point source system, perfect for mobile use. Its characteristics mean the speaker stuns and impresses with superior sound reinforcement at short and medium distances for corporate, sport and political events, small festivals, bands, mobile DJs, side fill in large systems and many more.

The full-range system is equipped with two 12″ neodymium cone speakers and a dual annular ring diaphragm driver coaxial system, with 3.5″/1.75“ voice coils. This meticulously designed technology covers the whole frequency range, from 44 Hz to 22 kHz (-6dB), with perfect clarity . The unique shape and technical characteristics of CODA Audio’s revolutionary ring-diaphragm drivers clearly distinguish them from conventional high-frequency compression drivers. They produce a consistent and phase-coherent wavefront and have audible and measurable advantages in terms of efficiency, dynamic range and distortion-free fidelity.

The power handling and sound pressure level have been smartly optimised by using CODA Audio’s patented Dynamic Airflow Cooling Technology to reduce power compression in the loudspeaker. In this way, power handling, sound pressure level and dynamics are significantly increased and permanently maintained.

The HOPS12T features a 90° x 60° or 60° x 40° rotatable Instafit Magnetic Waveguide that can be easily adapted without tools.

The cabinet features the Quick Release Grille and CODA Audio CMS (CODA mobile suspension) quick-connect system with a convenient workflow. On the bottom of the HOPS12T there is a flange, for a 36mm distance tube. A wide range of accessories give simple integration across a variety of applications. Accessories include fast mounting horizontal and vertical U-brackets, stand fitting adapter, quick lock flying frame and more.

You can enhance the bass levels even further, for a spectacular low-end. With complementary subwoofers U4-Sub or SCP, the system’s bandwidth can be expanded down to 25 Hz. Thanks to the System Optimiser 3D direct sound simulation software, even complex setups can be simulated quickly and meaningfully.

Like all CODA Audio systems, the HOPS12T is designed to work with LINUS system amplifiers and racks, so the user can enjoy the highest performance and maximum operational reliability.

Durable and robust, the enclosure of the HOPS12T is a hybrid of birch plywood and aluminium with a moisture and UV-resistant black polyurea finish in RAL9005. The system can be supplied in other RAL colours on request. The front is protected by a stable honeycomb grille with waterproof foam behind it, that is still acoustically transparent.

With IP54 protection against dust and light or splashing water, it is ideally suited for temporary outdoor use. For permanent outdoor use, the HOPS12 is also available in IP55 with full jet water protection.
